Oilpressure sensor Alpina B10 3,5

Hi !

My name is Jon and im from sweden!
I have come accross a BMW E30 that was build in Germany about 12 years ago with a 3,5 Liter M30 engine.

There is a digial meter on the dash for eilpressure and oiltemp but the sensor on the engine is gone. Im just guessing that there should be a sensor from a Alpina B10 3,5 becuse if I remember right it also have these meters on the dash.

Anyone know where I can find the number of the Alpina sensor?

Here is a pic of the dash:

More info about there car can be found here:

Hi,

if that is the original Sensor of the M30 engine it should be located in the lid of the Oilfilter housing. Should that be damaged you should be able to get it in Buchlohe ( I am not sure though if they can still deliver it )

Cheers

ain,

Hi MrVain,
Indeed I remember this dash when I start to build the digital retro gauges. At least it is very easy to check what kind of temp. sensor you will need. There are two types of curve tables for the temp. sensors available. The original VDO sensor and the ALPINA sensor. I will send you both curve tables tomorrow via PM. In the table you can check the corresponding resistor value for the temperature which should be displayed.

Best regards,
Oliver
